MADDIE MONSOON
So it’s been a lackluster monsoon season this summer, which has been great for our hair but awful for, oh, the drought and forest fires and silly little things like that. But, there’s always that sneaky little storm that comes late in the season, like the April snow that inevitably hits Flagstaff and Sedona. We know it’s coming. Our hair knows it’s coming. As we would for any apocalyptic event, we need to stock up on supplies. Because at all costs, we don’t want to look like this.
Yes, she’s smiling. Not necessarily happy. Would you be? She must be looking at someone else with worse hair. That’s the only excuse for that smile. Or, a winning lottery ticket in her pocket. To avoid such a mess, and keep a non-lottery induced smile, there are a couple products the pros at Madison Avenue Salon and Day Spa recommend. For fine to medium hair, use a little Smooth Down Heat Glide on those especially humid days (which may by the way creep in by the end of the week thanks to Hurricane Jimena….just a footnote, ladies). If your locks are a little more coarse, work in some Glass. It’ll keep your curls in check. Because we already deal with enough madness when it rains.
